Aliette de Bodard

Nueva York, Estados Unidos, 1982.

Trabaja en París como ingeniera de software, especializada en procesamiento de imagen. De ascendencia franco-vietnamita, gran parte de su ficción corta está ambientada en el universo de Xuya, una ucronía en la que China descubre América antes que los europeos, de modo que en el futuro las culturas azteca, china y vietnamita son predominantes.

Su carrera despegó cuando ganó el premio Writers of the Future en 2007. Desde entonces, ha ganado tres premios de la Asociación Británica de Ciencia Ficción (BSFA), dos Nebula y un Locus, siendo en 2015 la primera autora en ganar el mismo año el BSFA a mejor novela y a mejor relato.
