Silvia Moreno-Garcia es una escritora, antóloga y editora nacida en México y residente en Canadá. Cursó un máster en Ciencia y Tecnología en la Universidad de la Columbia Británica y su tesis se centra en las mujeres y el pensamiento eugenésico en la obra de H.P. Lovecraft.

Con Signal to Noise, su primera novela, ganó el Premio Copper Cylinder y fue nominada al British Fantasy, al Locus, al Sunburst y al Aurora. Su segunda novela, Certain Dark Things, fue finalista del Locus y el Sunburst, y a este último premio volvió a optar también su primera colección de relatos, This Strange Way of Dying.

En su página web recopila un listado de literatura especulativa escrita por autores latinoamericanos en inglés. Como editora, fue galardonada con el Premio Mundial de Fantasía en 2016 por la antología lovecraftiana She Walks in Shadows.
