A. S. Byatt

Antonia Susan Duffy, más conocida como A. S. Byatt, es una novelista y filóloga británica que estudió en York y en el Newnham College, en Cambridge. Fue profesora en la Central School of Art and Design y en el University College de Londres.
Ganó el Premio PEN/Macmillan Silver Pen en 1986 con Still Life, y los premios Booker y Irish Times/Aer Lingus en 1990 con Posesión. Con esta última también ganó, en 1991, el Premio de la Commonwealth como Mejor Novela en la sección Euroasiática. Asimismo, ha sido galardonada con el Premio Malaparte (1995), el Mythopoeic Fantasy Award de Literaura Adulta (1998, con The djinn in the Nightingale’s eye), el Premio Shakespeare de la fundación Toepfer (2002), el Blue Metropolis International Literary Grand Prix (2009) y el Premio Erasmus (2016).
