Ursula Vernon

Estados Unidos, 1977.

Ursula Vernon creció en Oregon y Arizona, estudió Antropología en Macalester College, en Minnesota, hasta que se estableció en Carolina del Norte con su marido, muchos gatos y una granja con perros y gallinas, donde se obsesiona con la técnica del mulch. Escribe bajo el pseudónimo de T. Kingfisher las obras fantásticas y de terror dirigidas al público adolescente y adulto.

Su obra ha sido nominada al Eisner, los Premios Mundiales de Fantasía y una mención en el New York Times. Su relato “Jackalope Wives” ganó el Nebula a Mejor Relato, el premio Coyotl y el premio WSFA Small Press en 2015; su serie infantil Dragonbreath ganó el premio Sequoyah de literatura infantil. Asimismo, ganó el premio Mythopoeic en 2016 por Castle Hagnail y el premio Hugo en 2017 por La ladrona de tomates.
