Elizabeth Moon

Texas, Estados Unidos, 1945.

Al vivir en el sur de Texas, a poca distancia de la frontera con México, Elisabeth Moon ha tenido experiencia desde el principio con las diferencias culturales entre ambos países. Esto hizo que siempre le fascinara cómo la cultura afecta a la gente y cómo se adaptan (o no) a los nuevos lugares. De hecho, estudió historia, antropología cultural y biología, además de formar parte del Cuerpo de Marines. Mientras estaba en el ejército, se casó y tuvo un hijo. Ahora se dedica a escribir, a fotografiar la naturaleza, cantar en un coro, tejer y cocinar, además de estar suscrita a revistas científicas y médicas.

Ganó el Premio Compton Crook a la Mejor Primera Novela, el Nebula a Mejor Novela, fue preseleccionada para el Premio Clarke y finalista del Hugo.
