Jennifer L. Armentrout empezó escribiendo cuentos cortos en clase de álgebra y ha acabado escribiendo novelas para adultos y jóvenes. Es la propietaria y organizadora de dos eventos anuales de literatura, la ApollyCon y el Origin Event, además de la creadora y única financiadora de la convención anual Book Your Way to RT Book. Desafortunadamente, en 2015 le diagnosticaron renitis pigmentosa, un trastorno que le provoca pérdida de visión.
Ha ganado el Premio Reviewers Choice en 2013 con Wait For You, el Editor’s Pick en 2015 con Fall With Me, el Premio Moerser-Jugendbuch-Jury en 2014 con Obsidian y el Premio RITA en 2017 con The Problem With Forever.
